Veronica "Ronnie" Ann Strang

Veronica “Ronnie” Ann Strang was born October 3, 1949 in Camden, New Jersey to the late John and Ethel Mae (Seward) Nestor. She passed away on Friday, December 30, 2016 at her home in Mounds, Oklahoma. Ronnie was raised in Cinnaminson, New Jersey and worked for Tyco Toys. She relocated to Mounds, Oklahoma in 1980 where she raised her four children. She was employed at Alliance America for twenty plus years prior to retiring. After retirement, Ronnie began working at Whataburger. Ronnie was saved in 2001 and baptized at the First Baptist Church in Beggs, where she also attended church. She enjoyed Bible Study with the ladies and helped during Sunday school. She also had a great love for farm animals, big vegetable gardens, and plants, and enjoyed canning goods from her crops. Ronnie enjoyed traveling when possible and often spoke of her trip in 2010 to Laoag City, Philippines, visiting her sister Rose and husband Dennis and several Philippine families. Ronnie’s greatest love was the time she spent with all of her family. She is preceded in death by her father and mother, a nephew, Thomas Johnston, brother-in-law, Dennis Pyles, Barbara and Samantha Smith of Missouri. Survivors include her children, Ronald Strang and wife Dawn of New Jersey, Patricia Malone and husband Michael, Rebecca Mansell and husband Larry and Richard Strang and girlfriend Jessica Cline, all of Oklahoma, siblings, Rose Pyles of Laoag City, Philippines, and Frances Crider and husband Fred, John Nestor and wife Barb and Kenneth Nestor and wife Sally, all of New Jersey, grandchildren, Josselyn and Ashton Strang of New Jersey, Kiefer and Kara Cruse, Matthew, Mitchel and Melanie Malone, Rodney Roper, Marisa Paul, Elizabeth Burris, Wesley and Rachel Mansell, Shawnie Cunningham, Chloe Shelton-Strang and Laila Cline, great grandchildren, Amber, Ashlyn and Stevie Cruse, Thomas Maroutsos and Savannah Edwards, Marik Malone, Jayce Cruse and Jayden Mansell, all of Oklahoma, nieces and nephews, Tammi Nestor and her four daughters, Amanda, Jessica, Desiree and Vanessa of Virginia, Dawn Nestor, Salina Nestor and Matt Leuters and daughter, Kayli all of New Jersey, Tiffani Charland husband Brian and two sons, Dominic and Gabriel of Maryland, Sarah Baker and husband Brandon of West Virginia, Kenneth Nestor of New Jersey and John Nestor of the U.S. Army in New Jersey, more extended family, Best Friend Patricia Davis, all of her Missouri Family and many wonderful Friends. A service to celebrate Ronnie’s Life will be held 10:00 Am Friday, January 6, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of Beggs with Reverend Chris Gore officiating. Arrangements and cremation services have been entrusted to the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Beggs.
