Edwin Hershall ‘Mann’ Britt Jr. passed from this life on January 28th, 2021 at his home in Beggs at the age of 72. Mann was born on September 5th, 1948 to Edwin ‘Bo’ and Louise Britt in Sallisaw, Ok. He grew up on Tiger Mountain and enjoyed going back for visits there throughout his life. During Manns younger years he enjoyed team roping and loved to tell everyone his stories of it. Mann never met a stranger, he loved to talk to anyone he met. Everyone knew if you seen Mann around town that you would need to spend at least 30 minutes visiting with him. Mann worked all his life and eventually retired from Callidus in 2017. In his free time he loved hanging out with his buddies Bobby, Steven and Jimmy. On Saturday mornings you could usually find him having breakfast with one of them. The highlight of Manns life were his children and grandchildren. He loved them all so much. Claire would stay over every weekend and they would always find something to get into. Mann was loved by so many people because he was just an all around good guy. Mann was preceded in death by his parents Bo and Louise Britt. Son, Gary Britt. Son, Manuel Britt. Sister, Aleta Whittington. Grandson, Dillon Matthew Moore. Mother in Law, Ruth Berry. Mann was survived by his wife Sherri Britt of 21 years. Daughter, Teri and Matthew Moore of Cherryvale, KS. Daughter, Shelly Hurt of Sapulpa, OK. Daughter, Sandra and Chase Shaffer of Beggs, OK. Son, Brian Hurt of Mounds, OK. Husband in Law, Bobby and Angie Hurt of Mounds, OK. Brother, Vernon and Yvette Britt of Mounds, OK. Brother, Ernie and Diane Britt of Colton, OK. Sister, Janie and Don Adams of Sallisaw, OK. Grandchildren; Brandon, Andrew, Dustin, Tiea, Melanie, Michael, Tiffany, Claire, Casen and Chase. Great Grandchildren; Dodge and Alora. Memorial service will be held at 10:00AM at Crossroads Baptist Church in Beggs, OK with Pastor Chad Eads officiating. Food will be provided at the church after the service. The family would like to thank everyone that has called or reached out with support for our family in our time of grieving. A special thank you to the Shaffer family. We appreciate everyone very much.
