David Anderson

Charles David Anderson was born on April 4, 1960 in Phoenix, Arizona to Charles Eugene Anderson and Dorlis Marie (Childers) Anderson. David passed from this life on Friday, March 8, 2013. David was preceded in death by both his parents, and one brother Darrell Anderson of Phoenix, Arizona. David is survived by his partner of thirty two years Wade Hall of Wilson, sisters Deborah Sebring of Tulsa, Laura Evelyn Buell and husband Jonathan of Wilson, Darla Anderson-McKinley of Okmulgee and Tiffany Anderson of Okmulgee, special parents, Buster and Catherine Hall of Wilson, brother in law Monty Hall and wife Linda of Choctaw, Oklahoma, his wonderful nineteen nieces and nephews, eleven great nieces and nephews and many special friends. David was Executive Director of the Creek Council House Museum for seventeen years, and was proud of his accomplishments regarding the Native American Culture specially that of the Muscogee Creek Nation. David served on many local boards including the Okmulgee Main Street as President, Okmulgee County Homeless Shelter as President, Miss Muscogee Creek Nation, Miss Okmulgee County Scholarship Pageant and President of the Oklahoma Museum Association Board of Directors 2012. David held a double major in Computer Science and Electronics and was graduate from OSUIT in 1985. David also was licensed as a real estate agent. David was very involved with the Miss Oklahoma Scholarship Pageant serving as volunteer, judge and interview coach. David’s love of family was truly a lifetime commitment. To anyone who knew David knew he was a true friend. On any given day you could see David proudly standing on the Council House square giving words of advisement, encouragement and sharing a laugh with so many people. David’s kindness was contagious to all who met him. David loved gardening and had beautiful flowers, humming birds and a beautiful yard. He also loved antiquing, surfing, sailing and geneology. When he was younger he pursued a dream and won Junior National Champion of equestrian riding in California. Memorial contributions in David's Memory may be made to the Miss Okmulgee Scholarship Pageant c/o First National Bank of Okmulgee, Okmulgee County Homeless Shelter and the Okmulgee Humane Society.
