Alfred A. Stiger

Alfred “Al” Allen Stiger of Beggs Oklahoma, passed away in his home located in Beggs Ok in Okmulgee County, on Thursday November 14th at the age of 69. Al was born in Claremore Ok on December 19 1950, to parents John and Elsie Stiger. Al was the oldest of 4 children, he had 3 younger sisters Joyce, Janice, and Jackie. He graduated from High School in Mounds Oklahoma in 1969. As a young husband and father Al tried out a few various occupations before attending school for refrigeration repair, he received his certification and started his own refrigeration repair business which he had for many years. Al also worked for and retired from Sun Oil in Tulsa Ok. After retiring from Sun Oil, Al continued with his Refrigeration repair business until retiring completely a few years later. Al was witty and quick to find the humor in any situation he always had a huge, ready, recognizable grin for everyone. Al loved to have fun and had many humorous sometimes unbelievable stories to share of his many experiences and adventures with friends, he was always it seems getting into something. He often reminisced about the scuba diving trips that he took down in Mexico and the crazy stories that went along with those trips. Years later he would talk of revisiting the favorite places of younger Al but wasn’t quite able to find the time. Al also had a caring side and he was always eager to lend a hand to a friend and set an example for many of his friends and family. Al particularly enjoyed his mothers’ cooking and spent many a Sunday afternoon at her dinner table. He also loved to drive her around whenever she would call to run her errands and take her to visit with her friends and family. Al is survived in death by his mother, Elsie Stiger of Mounds Ok, sister Janice Stiger of Mounds, sister Joyce Bates of Skiatook Ok, and sister Jackie Walters of Catoosa Ok. Also his sons Brett and wife Trish Stiger of KS, Matt and wife Tj Stiger of Beggs OK, Shane and wife Misty Stiger of OK. And step son Neal Mitchel formally of Beggs Ok. Also many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends. Al was preceded in death by his father John Stiger of Mounds OK. A memorial service is being planned for Al at the First Baptist Church in Mounds Ok, a date and time is yet undetermined.
