Community Dedication

We are, and always have been, deeply committed to caring for those we serve. Not just at the time of loss, but three hundred and sixty five days a year. McClendon-Winters Funeral Home provides financial support for many of organizations you belong to, and many of the events you attend. Most likely you’ve seen one or more of our staff members in these settings, actively involved, and enriching the spirit of the community.

At McClendon-Winters Funeral Home we take great pride in our commitment to the communities we serve.

We support the seven school districts located in our area but sponsoring various athletic and academic activities.

We proudly support the local 4H and FFA through their Livestock Shows and have made a tradition out of participating in the downtown trick or treating.

We take great pride in supporting our veteran’s organizations.  We provide U.S. flags to be placed at all veteran’s graves as well as support the many campaigns to help our area veterans.

We are dedicated to providing aftercare to the entire county, hosting an Annual Holiday Remembrance Service, providing personalized ornaments for each family who has lost a loved one the preceding year.  We also provide a Grief Support Group, led by an experienced facilitator, and special holiday support meetings during those most difficult times.

McClendon-Winters Funeral Home and its staff has long been supporters of many local organizations.  We proudly support the Chamber of Commerce and Main Street Programs, participating in the Christmas Parades and sponsoring the organizations activities.  We co-sponsored a community time capsule.

A long time tradition has been to provide calendars to the community and many churches each year.

Providing both Christian and Catholic Calendars for the churches and citizens of the communities.

And most important, we are dedicated to the families of the Okmulgee Area, to serve them in their time of need.  We understand the emotional and financial burden placed on a family at the loss of an infant, and to help these families in their time of need, we provide our services at no cost.

Wherever there is a human being, there is an opportunity for kindness.

Those words were written over two thousand years ago, by Seneca, the Roman philosopher. Despite the centuries between him, and us, the essential truth of his words continues. We are very proud of our commitment to everyone living in the communities we serve.
