Ernest Taylor, Jr.
Ernie Taylor, 58, a
lifetime resident of Okmulgee, passed away in his home Tuesday, February 17,
2009. He was born April 2, 1950 in
Pasco, Washington. After attending
Okmulgee High School, Ernie followed in his father’s footsteps and became a
bricklayer, which he passed on to his children.
He was
preceded in death by his parents; Ernest, Sr. and Leta Taylor, and a brother,
Michael Taylor, all of Okmulgee.
Ernie is
survived by his three sisters; Shirley Watts and husband, J.R. of Morris, Tootie
Espino of Okmulgee, and Rene Rogers and husband, James, of Muskogee, one
brother, Joe Taylor of Chickasha, three sons; Ernie Taylor of Okmulgee, Bobby
Taylor and wife, Carmen of Okmulgee, Mike Sadler and wife, Jaclyn of Liberty,
two daughters; Casandra Killion and husband, Mark of Tulsa, and Rachel Mears of
Tulsa. He also left behind ten
loving grandchildren; Madison, Maddix, Corey, Zach, Cody, Kayla, Tyler, Bailey,
Dillion, and Brittany, as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins,
and friends. All the family would
like to give Joanne Davis a special thanks for all the love and support she gave
Ernie.
Funeral
services will be held at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel in Okmulgee
on Friday, February 20, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Paul Ramsey and Reverend
Wesley Berry officiating. Interment
will follow at the Morris Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be James Marrow, George Field, Billy Field, J.R. Watts,
Ricky Taylor, and Danny Taylor. Honorary casket bearer will be Tyler Sadler.
Viewing will be on Thursday, February 19, 2009 from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00
P.M. at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Okmulgee.
