Larry Hellard
Larry Alan Hellard, 60, died in Okmulgee on February 19, 2009.
He was born February 2, 1949 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Chester Arthur and
Mary Lee (Fancher) Hellard. Larry
served his country in Vietnam in the United States Army.
During his time of service he received many medals including the Purple
Heart. Larry attended the Spartan
School of Aeronautics and was a Non-Destructive Testing Technician for Rockwell
and Boeing. He was also a rancher
and owned and operated a dump truck business.
Larry was a member of the VFW Post 1189 and the Okmulgee Elks Lodge.
He was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Cindy Hellard.
Survivors include his wife, Sandy, of the home, two daughters, Cassandra
Hellard of Okmulgee and Stephanie Lynn of Tulsa, four sisters, Linda Joseph of
California, Teresa Walker of Tulsa, Debbie Ellison of Tulsa and Nancy Jackson of
Skiatook, two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit the funeral home 1-6 P.M. Sunday and 9 A.M. – 6 P.M.
Monday. Funeral services will be on
Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home
Chapel in Okmulgee with Reverend Matthew Stockton officiating.
Interment will follow at the Beggs Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be Daniel Walker, Joe Walker, Scooter Ramsey, P.J.
Jackson, Ron Gause and Austin Bowling.
Honorary Casketbearers will be Kyle Stewart, Brandon Morrow, Dylan
Crawford, Michael Hibbs, Jeramy Jackson, Justin Crawford, Jared Crawford, Adam
Crawford, and Jason Ellison.
