Everett Earl Cook, Jr. (Junior) of Okmulgee, died Monday, April 6th,
2009 at the age of 79 years, after a long battle with cancer.
Junior was born December 25, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan to Elizabeth Ann
Cook and Everett Earl Cook, Sr.
Junior served in the United States Navy and worked as a carpenter.
Preceding him in death were his parents, his brothers; Harold Wayne Cook
and Jimmy Ray Cook. Also, his
stepdad, Harvey Fox.
Junior is survived by cousins; Donald Grisham of Shirley, Arkansas, David
Scroggins of Wilburton, Oklahoma, Jessie Davis of Wilburton, Oklahoma, JoAnn
Fisher of Bakersfield, California, Jim Bob Harris of Clarksburg, California,
Debbie Brown and Rita Aylor of Okmulgee.
His many friends of the Creek Tribe and the VFW of Okmulgee also survive
him, and last but not least, Stan West, who transported Junior for many trips to
the hospitals and doctors. He was a
true friend to the very end.
Military graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, April
11, 2009 at the Okmulgee Cemetery conducted by the V.F.W. Posts #539 & #1189.
Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday, April 10, 2009 1-8 PM.
