Bonnie Brown
Bonnie Lou Brown passed away Saturday, May 2, 2009 after a long illness.
She was born January 29, 1938 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Lester and Maybell
(Ridgeway) Cox. She was preceded in
death by her parents and two brothers.
In March 1967 Bonnie married Odie Ray Brown in Okmulgee.
She is survived by her husband, Odie Brown of the home, daughter, Joyce
Silvester and husband Dale of Hot Springs, Arkansas, step-son, Douglas Brown of
Hectorville, step-daughter, Judy Langwell and husband Tom of Broken Arrow,
brothers, Charles Cox and Dean Cox of Missouri, seven grandchildren, seven great
grandchildren and many friends and relatives.
During her lifetime, Bonnie’s career included being a state meat
inspector and she retired from Rebold Manor in Okmulgee.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at the
Faith Baptist Church in Okmulgee with Reverend Everett Lerch officiating.
Interment will follow in the Okmulgee Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be Mike Cargola, Charles Kilgore, Jack Baughman, Jr.
Branson, Mike Haney and Keith Lee. Honorary Casketbearers will be Billy Don
McClure and Steven Brown. Friends may
visit the funeral home on Tuesday from 12-8 P.M.
