Cheryl was born on June 17, 1947 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Duward Ishmael and Nyla Gene (Smith) Tully. On July 7, 1999 she married Solomon “Sonny” Johnson. Cheryl worked as a medical transcriptionist. She was a member of the Deliverance Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church and enjoyed working at the church. Cheryl also liked going to the library and playing card games. Her Parents, three infant sisters, and grandparents Eva and Virgil Smith preceded her in death. Cheryl is survived by her husband Sonny of the home, daughter Tamma-Dawne Makinson of Okmulgee, son Scott Wade Hopkins of Tulsa, son Birchard “Birt” Hopkins of Barnstall, daughter Rachel Diane Britt and husband Randy of Morris, son Solomon Johnson, Jr. of Draper, Utah, son Mark Anthony Jones, grandchildren; Christopher Allyn Makinson and wife Jennifer of Okmulgee, April Dawn Pless of Okmulgee, Stormee Rachelle Stumpf of Okmulgee, Tatyana Morae Hopkins of Owasso, Tyler Charles Wood of Morris, Kade Ryder Hopkins of Barnstall and Riley Ann Hopkins of Barnstall, great grandchildren; Bailey Nicole Makinson, Aden Wayne Pless, Alysa Dawn Coyle, and twins on the way, and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at the Deliverance Tabernacle on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend John Proctor officiating. Services will conclude at the church.
