Donna Pless

Donna Lee Pless, longtime resident of Beggs, died Sunday, July 6, 2008 at her daughter’s home. She was born April 17, 1934 in Morris to Donald and Ruby (Bannon) Gesaman. She retired from Okmulgee Memorial Hospital. Donna loved doing crossword puzzles, reading, fishing, and attending the sporting events of her grandchildren. She attended Nuyaka Baptist Church.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, her children’s father, K.W. Pless, a sister, Virginia Huff, and one sister-in-law, Ann Shepard.

She is survived by her children; Mark Pless and wife Roxie of Tyler, Texas, Steve Pless and wife Heather of Huntsville, Missouri, Rick Pless of Bastrop, Texas, Brenda Brewer and husband Ed of Beggs, Oklahoma, David Pless of Tampa, Florida, Tommy Pless and wife Sherrie of Collinsville, Oklahoma, brothers; Wayne Gesaman and Kenneth Gesaman, both of Wichita, Kansas, grandchildren; Amanda, Aubrey, Cameron, Ava, April, Jeremy, Tony Bill, Crystal, Amber, Maegan, Randi, Chelsey, Skyler, Shelby, Jeremiah, Josh, and Nicole. She also had numerous great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Donna considered her co-workers at Okmulgee Memorial Hospital her second family.

Services will be on Thursday, July, 10, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at the Nuyaka Baptist Church with Reverend Chad Eads. Interment will follow at the Beggs Cemetery. Casketbearers are Wayne Simms, Billy Shanks, Miles Yarnell, Dave Hostetler, Ryan Smith, and Anthony Ivins. Friends may visit the funeral home from 12-8 P.M. on Wednesday.
