Yvonne Middleton
Dolores Yvonne Middleton was born
September 23, 1935, in Stuart, Oklahoma, to Clarence and
Katy (Simmons) Bishop and moved to Holdenville, Oklahoma in
1948. She married Wayne Middleton, also of Holdenville on
August 27, 1954. After living in Tulsa for several years,
Wayne and Yvonne moved to Okmulgee in 1961, where she stayed
home to raise her two children until she went to work as the
bookkeeper at Key Drug Store in 1970. Later when Wayne
opened his accounting practice in 1974, she went to work for
him, where she continued to work until illness prevented her
from doing so in December of 2007. On April 11, 2008 at the
age of 72 years, Yvonne passed away in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She
was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Laverne
Fisher and her son, Keith Middleton. She is survived by her
husband, Wayne Middleton, of the home, her daughter, Sherry
Dossey and her husband Dennis, three grandsons, Stephen,
Aaron, and Brian Dossey, all of Okmulgee, two brothers,
Clarence Bishop, Jr. and his wife Virginia, of Oklahoma City
and David Bishop and his wife, Nina, of Redding, California,
nine nieces and one nephew. Funeral services for Yvonne will
be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 16, at Southside Baptist
Church in Okmulgee with Pastor Larry Schoonover officiating.
Interment will follow in the Okmulgee Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be Bill Milroy, Corky McAdams, Ralph
Sprouse, Kenneth Butler, Dr. Bob Hasselman, and Paul Abbott.
Friends may visit the funeral home from 9-8 on Tuesday.
