Mary Nell Lane

Mary Nell Lane 77 a longtime resident of Okmulgee died in Muskogee on Friday, June 13, 2008. She was born on October 20, 1930 to Kirk and Grace (Hutchinson) Lawhead in Granite, Oklahoma moving to Okmulgee as a child. She attended and graduated from Okmulgee schools. Mary married Glen Lane in 1949. Glen was Okmulgee’s Mayor and Councilmember for many years. She worked at the Meadow View Dairy and then for the First National Bank and Trust where she retired after 17 years. Her husband, parents and a sister, Mildred Snider preceded her in death.

Survivors include her son Mike and his wife Donna of Muskogee, a grandson Jimmy Lane of Muskogee, brother in law Lloyd Snider of Tulsa, niece Victoria Ward of Tulsa, and a great niece Tori Mckee also of Tulsa.

Funeral services will be 2 pm on Tuesday, at the McClendon-Winters Chapel with Dr. Dennis Taylor officiating. Burial will be in the Okmulgee Cemetery. The family suggests contributions in her name to the American Lung association. Condolences may be made at mcclendon-winters.com.
