Ora Brown

Ora May Brown 92, longtime resident of Beggs, died in Beggs on Thursday, January 31, 2008. She was born on March 6, 1915 in Hector, Arkansas to John and Martha T. (Morris) Jones. Mrs. Brown enjoyed quilting and her garden. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Beggs. Her husband; Lynn Levi Brown, her parents, two sons; Orville Brown and Doyle Brown, a grandson, Jimmy Brown, preceded her in death.

Survivors include three sons; Charles Brown of Beggs, Lendle and wife Claudine Brown of Mounds, Ok, James and wife Wanda Brown of Broken Arrow, Ok. six grandchildren Gary Brown, Michael Brown, Wayne Brown, Richard Brown, Janine Johnson, Christi Buercklin.

Funeral services will be on Monday, 2 p.m., at the First Assembly of God Church with Rev. Bob Yandell officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday, 12-8 p.m. Interment will be in the Okmulgee Cemetery under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Beggs. Pallbearers will be Charles Brown, Andy Justice, Calvin Baldridge, Mickey Wilbourn, Jonathan Yandell, Gene Love and Leslie Love. Condolences may be made at mcclendon-winters.com.
